What have we here?

I’m known for getting into depth about my views on the world in my Facebook posts. Honestly, I had always assumed that it annoyed most people, and don’t really expect anyone to give my words much notice. But recently, I’ve had multiple people tell me that they look forward to reading the things I write. The first few times I heard this, I was taken aback a bit and figured that they were an anomaly, but the more times I heard it, the easier it was to believe that they were being sincere and that there might be an audience, however small for my writings.

Hence, this new blog. I decided that a blog format would give me a little more space to explain why I think the way I do. More importantly, I think it will give me a place where I can feel comfortable being more open, because I’ll have the ability to define myself on my own terms, at my own pace, and in the amount of detail that I think is necessary to help people understand where I’m coming from.

So keep an eye on this space, and feel free to comment, ask questions, or request that I write on a topic about which you’d like to hear what I have to say. If it doesn’t pan out, know that I’ll still be as opinionated and wordy as I ever was back on my Facebook feed.
